Inhalt:
In this paper, noncoherent multi-user detection schemes in multi-user massive MIMO systems utilizing subspace projection are presented. We analyze the effects of such a projection in the noncoherent setting, in particular the interaction with the subsequent decision-feedback differential detection (DFDD) over the temporal dimensions and the noncoherent approach to decision-feedback equalization (nDFE) over the users. Based on an analysis of the statistics of the interference terms in autocorrelation-based noncoherent receivers, the receive processing is optimized. It is shown that the DFDD/nDFE scheme with prior subspace projection has a performance very close to that of coherent reception with perfect channel knowledge.
