Inhalt:
Within the research project emil battery-powered electric busses were integrated in the local public transport. These busses are charged inductively with a power of 200 kW. Three of the four charging stations are supplied by tramway’s grid. The fourth station is supplied by local power transformer which was built specifically for feeding the station. In future there is the opportunity to electrify bus routes whose final stations are in regions with weak grid branches like suburban areas. This presents new challenges. For instance during the charging there must not be any negative influence on the power grid. Through the provision of reactive power by the charging stations by means of an active-front-end and by using a stub cable between local power transformers and charging stations it is possible to supply high-power inductive stations via weak grid branches.
