Inhalt:
This paper presents recent results of experimental trials using an airborne C-band Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) named SARenka developed at the Warsaw University of Technology. SARenka is a lightweight demonstrator of small size which uses a low power Frequency Modulated Continuous Wave (FMCW) radar operating in C-band. The radar demonstrator allows for high resolution SAR imaging and real-time on-board processing. The radar was developed for operation on aircrafts and medium sized Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) as a testbed of SAR technology. This paper presents the radar design and the recent results of the tests performed with the small manned aircraft PZL-104 Wilga and medium sized UAVs as radar carriers.
