The proliferation of SAS and other long-range acoustic technolgies has increased the probability that acoustic sensors in similar frequency bands may be operating in close proximity. During complex experiments involving multiple sensors, acoustic deconfliction via scheduling and sensor placement is used to ensure that all sensors can achieve the desired performance. However, much of the deconfliction for SAS sensors can be achieved through the application of filters during signal processing, data analysis, and image formation. The work described here includes examples of acoustic interference and the application of filters to reduce or eliminate this sensor cross talk.
