Optronic SAR processing is interesting and attractive due to its ultrafast processing speed. However, the optronic processing is less flexible than the digital processing. This problem is more obvious when processing the real data since the existing phase errors caused by various resources. An adaptive optronic SAR processor is proposed in this paper. In the processor, the data is focused by two steps of the wavefront compensation. The first part of the wavefront compensation is determined and can be calculated. The residual wavefront compensation is adjustable according to the image captured by the CCD. The residual wavefront compensation can be automatic and adaptive. Moreover, the processor provides a way of manually adjusting the residual wavefront compensation. Both the automatic and the manual mode of adjusting the residual wavefront compensation, one can see the changing image immediately through the CCD. Simulation experiments are used to validate the system design and its performance.
