Fast and accurate IDDQ sensors are a prerequisite for accurate testing digital parts in mixed-signal integrated circuits. IDDQ currents as low as one microamp have to be measured as well as currents up to several hundred microamps. This article presents a concept of a simple IDDQ sensor circuit with built-in self-test and high accuracy.
