NICT developed the along-track interferometry SAR (AT-InSAR) for the airborne SAR system (Π-SAR X2) in 2011. The preliminary wave height observation was performed in a calm sea, and it was confirmed that the wave height could be estimated from the measured sea surface velocity with 50cm resolution. In this study, new antennas for the ATInSAR were developed for the ocean wave measurement with high resolution(30cm), and the high-resolution ATInSAR mode was added on the Π-SAR X2. The purpose of this study is to check the capability of the ocean wave measurement by the high-resolution AT-InSAR mode.
