NI LabVIEW RIO Imaging Radar Experimental Setup

An experimental radar setup is presented consisting of low power conventional radar module IVS-465, conditioning preamplifier board and NI RIO as main data acquisition platform with LabVIEW control. Two experiments are carried out for conventional radar and imaging synthetic aperture radar implementation. In the first experiment target detection and motion parameters are estimated. The second experiment aim is to investigate possibility of a synthetic aperture imaging radar application. The experimental setup may be used for education, research and as a base platform for an imaging radar prototype further development.
