Inhalt:
The Doppler inherently measured in SAR can be exploited to measure geophysical parameters such as ocean surface current radial velocities if the geometric and electromagnetic pointing is accurately known. Undesirable Doppler biases in Sentinel-1 data inhibit the use of the velocity estimates. This paper approaches the problem of geometrical Doppler bias through time domain processing. A 2D time domain correlation processor is implemented to focus raw Sentinel-1 data to identify whether the source of errors is in the attitude quaternions or processing artifacts. Predicted and estimated Doppler centroids are generated over stationary Amazon data and first results presented.
