Power quality analysers: Measurement uncertainty

The Federal Institute of Metrology METAS in Switzerland operates a calibration system for power quality analysers. This system is traceable to the International System of Units SI. It is used for calibration, testing and independent certification of power quality analysers. This article gives a short introduction to power quality and the concept of traceability. The concept of certification is explained. As an example, the uncertainty budget for the measurement of flicker is discussed.
