Inhalt:
Content-addressable memory (CAM) is a hardware device that executes search functions. It has been leveraged to cope with design challenges in a variety of applications and is considered as an enabler for modern day applications such as embedded computational neuroscience. With an overview on the advances in recent years, this paper addresses a comparative study on CAM design in circuit simulation between 65 nm and 10 nm. An outlook on CAM design for exploiting the technology scaling is presented for future research.
