Inhalt:
A measurement setup for measuring space charges in sheet samples of silicone elastomers and especially at the interface of silicone elastomers with silicone grease is presented in this work. If using the Laser Induced Pressure Pulse method, several dependencies have to be optimized in order to allow for the measurement to achieve sufficient signal to noise ratio. It is described how electromagentical distortions, caused by flashlamps and the generated plasma can be reduced by digitally manipulating the signal. Furthermore, the significance of using a target material on the measurement is presented and it is shown which target material was best fit for LIPP measurements. Moreover, it is described that signal strengths significantly depend on the pulse energy as well as the beam diameter of the applied laser pulse.
