Inhalt:
@CITY shall aim to generate new, automated driving experience for safe, stress-free, efficient and comfortable driving in the city. It is expected that automated vehicles shall offer drivers the highest possible degree of support in all situations. In @CITY project, the research partners shall strive to understand the challenges of urban automated driving and generate added value not only for the driver, but also for other road users. The ultimate goal of @CITY is to implement automated driving functions in experimental vehicles and to test them under realistic conditions of highly-dense and complicated urban scenarios, e.g. at dynamic bottlenecks caused by turning cyclists. The objective is to gain common understanding including the necessary architectures, interfaces, technologies and frameworks, coordinated between all involved partners. This common understanding shall represent the ideal basis for rapid implementation of project results via product development following this research project. Presented will be challenges, objectives, project structure, partners, sub-projects and their technical approaches including initial results from the project.
