Inhalt:
In this paper we introduce a system that uses information from Industry 4.0 use cases like the factory’s floor plan or the positions of moving objects to monitor wireless communication. Additionally, the network structure information with access points and client is used. Our system uses those information in conjunction with live monitoring data from network devices and dedicated monitor devices. With the information of the factory’s environment a discrete propagation model and later a foundational radio map is calculated from the network configuration information. From the live monitoring data a real radio map is calculated by interpolation that represents the signal strengths in the factory. The difference between those two radio maps is used to evaluate if error arise due to propagation model errors or external influences. If a propagation model error is detected the model gets corrected in a closed-loop process in order to get a stable representation of the channel properties in the system. If jamming or interference is detected, additional data has to be used to classify the type of the influence and to suggest potential mitigation strategies.
