The non-cooperative target identification is one of the ‘hot’ topics in the radar research at present. Most of the methods are based on the ISAR technology so the creation of high quality ISAR images is of great importance. This paper presents the novel method of creation such ISAR images by using the multistatic passive radar technology. As the bandwidth of illuminating signal is very limited a single bistatic Tx-Rx pair is not able to reach quality at the sufficient level. The use of several Tx-Rx pairs adds more dimensions of freedom to the problem and enables to obtain much netter resolution. In addition, such approach eliminates or significantly reduces the shadowing effect. The paper also presents theoretical fundamentals of the alternative method, computer simulations and results obtained from the recording of real-life data.
