Ground Targets Positioning in SAR Images Based on Multi-modality Image Matching

It is of great practical significance to accurately position ground targets in real-time SAR images. This paper proposes an innovative ground target positioning method based on multi-modality image matching, that is, real-time SAR images are matched with optical reference map to provide accurate location information of corresponding ground targets in SAR images. Furthermore, this paper introduces an innovative matching method using grayscale mapping matrix to adapt the difference between optical and SAR image. The experimental results show that this method can accurately position the ground targets in SAR image.
