Inhalt:
This paper deals with optimal catenary planning of trolleybus systems. For this purpose, the first step defines two relevant planning scenarios. Subsequently, an essential dataset is generated, containing all the necessary information about the trolleybus system to be planned. Using a simulation model for trolleybus systems, which is developed by the authors, bus energy demands are simulated. Based on the simulation results, a planning method is presented that minimises the investment costs or the catenary expansion for the defined scenarios. Finally, an exemplary scenario is simulated in which the catenary is optimised.
