Inhalt:
The EOSC initiative is looking at a combination of four elements to meet the wide range of Canadian government user needs: free and open data, commercial data, international cooperation and a dedicated SAR system. Wide area monitoring requirements are difficult to meet with smaller satellite platforms and often lead to the need for larger satellites. However, there are several needs that require more targeted high resolution images that are difficult to address with these large satellites without interrupting wide area acquisitions. Emerging micro-SAR could play a role to fill some of these needs.
