To guarantee the successful integration of e-mobility into the power grid, it is essential to prevent critical simultaneities, mitigate power peaks, and optimize the overall use of the grid. This work focuses on a novel mechanism for grid serving flexibility, overcoming the drawbacks of existing approaches and satisfying the needs of actors both from the grid and the automotive domain. The concept relies on the long-term contracting of flexibilities paired with short-term opt-out auctions for participants with high opportunity costs.
