Inhalt:
In this paper a novel topology of the double-fed induction machine (DFIM) for variable speed operation is presented. The brushless variant of the DFIM is connected to the grid on the secondary side via a phase-shifting transformer instead of the commonly used voltage-source inverter. Mow the topology is controlled by variation of the amplitude and phase of the secondary three-phase voltage system instead of the common control DFIM scheme with altered frequency. An analytical description and simulation are presented for this topology. The influence of the degrees of freedom on the behavior of the system is described. Finally, a proposed design is examined and evaluated in more detail for variable speed operation with constant torque.
