Simulations are an inexpensive, fast and effective way to validate ideas in product development. This is especially true in the highly competitive, but at the same time often budget-constrained environment of Formula Student. As a basis for further investigations, a sensitivity analysis of a Formula Student race car is carried out in this paper in order to enable an even better allocation of the limited development resources. Although such an analysis should actually be the basis for any further vehicle development within Formula Student, there is no publication to be found in this area.
