Inhalt:
The convergence of Mobile Edge Computing (MEC) and Mobile Cloud Computing (MCC) with private local 5G networks are transforming mobile service architectures by enabling context-aware applications. When integrated with private 5G networks—operating on dedicated or shared local spectrum—this architecture supports strict data governance and regulatory compliance, especially in industrial and enterprise environments. Local spectrum access provides enhanced control over network infrastructure but introduces new security responsibilities for private operators. As regulatory bodies increasingly support localized spectrum allocations, standardization efforts must address interoperability, secure spectrum licensing, and auditable control mechanisms to ensure the privacy-preserving operation of these next-generation mobile networks. This study applies Kitchenham’s systematic literature review methodology to examine the current state of research and practice concerning security and privacy in the context of local spectrum access for private 5G&Beyond networks.
