Inhalt:
This paper is related to the work which is carried out at ETH Zurich for the wearIT@work project. Different industrial pilot applications within this project require the estimation of a mobile worker’s location to ensure a proper context dependent support of the worker by the wearable system which is developed in the course of the project. To derive the mobile worker’s location, the detection of walking activities in combination with altitude sensing is very helpful. A description of the used hardware is given, concluded by an outlook on future tasks to be fulfilled.
