VISUAL is an European Project funded by the European Commission within the IST line under the V Framework Programme. This framework has the goal of improving the access of blind and visually impaired people to the Information Society, an this project aims to contribute to this issue by developing an accessible web authoring tool that also allows web content creators creating accessible content to VIP´s (visually impaired people). The project started on 1st of September 2001 and has just successfully finished on 30th September 2004. It was coordinated and managed by SOLUZIONA using voice technologies (synthesis and recognition) and the recommendations of accessibility of the WAI to reach its objectives.
