Inhalt:
The peak SAR (Specific Absorption Rate) value of a two-element array antenna used for mobile handsets is evaluated numerically by changing the phase difference of the array elements and the distance between the array antenna and the user's head. It is found that when part of a human head is present in the reactive near-field region of the array antenna, the co-phase feed SAR is slightly smaller than the reverse-phase feed SAR, but when the head is completely outside the reactive nearfield region, the co-phase feed SAR is larger the reverse-phase feed SAR.
