Biomedical micro sensors emerged early in science for measuring electrical potential in neuronal cells and inside the brain. The advent of micro system technology have accelerated the use of highly miniaturized, simple to use and cost effective micro sensors. Such devices are now in widespread use in clinical disciplines and have opened a new avenue for monitoring critical care parameters.
