Implementation of Finite Element Method Modelling Tools in Education Programs

Electromagnetic modelling has become a popular tool used by engineers, scientists and researchers. This publication describes a process of teaching the magnetic modelling to the students of the University of Auckland, New Zealand. The methodology of teaching to the undergraduate students, often limited to the 2D modelling with little of numerical background, is presented. The postgraduate programs exploring the 3D modelling and details of FEM methodology is also revealed.
