Inhalt:
To identify, in an automated way, the geometry of the device that is able to provide some prescribed performance is the essential goal of the optimal shape design in electromagnetics. The associated inverse problem can be solved through the constrained minimization of a user-defined objective function depending on the design variables. Nevertheless, in engineering practice the presence of a single objective is a simplification and multiple objectives are to be fulfilled at a time in the design process of a device or a system. An application of multiobjective optimal design to electromechanics is here presented.
