In this paper a new design of an outer-rotor PMB DC hub motor for light traction and low speed is analyzed. The motor is modelled by means of the finite element software Flux 2D, coupled to Matlab(R)/Simulink. Transient simulation results are discussed. This work is a continuation of previous research carried out by the authors.
