The circular Radon transform is an accurate model for SAR data collection; image formation can be expressed as the inversion of this transform. This paper describes the development of an efficient algorithm to implement the Fourier- Hankel inversion of the circular Radon transform to produce accurate SAR images. Comparative simulations are discussed and illustrated for variations of the image formation algorithm.
