Inhalt:
In order to understand and simulate realistic complex target signatures and to get reference signatures for automatic target recognition (ATR) purposes, the precise measurement and analysis of highly resolved two-dimensional radar signatures is mandatory. In this paper, the basic concept of a new experimental fully polarimetric radar system is presented. The hardware design and the image processing are briefly introduced, some first test measurements are described, and the corresponding imaging results are discussed.
