We present a new fusion algorithm based on spatial frequency to merge multispectral SPOT and ERS data. The optical and SAR images are decomposed into blocks, then spatial frequencies are computed for each block. The corresponding blocks are combined using this spatial frequency values to yield the fused image. Results show that the proposed method can be used as an efficient tool for the fusion of multispectral and SAR data.
