Inhalt:
Mobile relaying is a leading edge technology, considered as a good candidate in future deployment scenarios for coverage extension of networks, better coverage of shadowed areas or to cover ad hoc needs e.g. in cases of unpredictable/unknown events. The main goal behind the mobile relaying concept is to reduce deployment costs of future networks. Mobile relaying is one of the flavours of the relaying concept which is becoming mature within the research community due to the advantages that it can provide for future network deployments. This paper aims to make an introduction on the mobile relaying concept and at the same time present an evaluation of some aspects of the three mobile relays-based deployment concepts.
