Inhalt:
In this paper we propose to optimize a power converter design following simultaneously three objectives: area, cost in Euro and efficiency. A multiple objectives optimization design approach is proposed and applied to a buck converter (42/14 V, 8A). It combines the characteristics of two most popular techniques: Pareto based approach using genetic algorithm and goal programming method. Optimized design with the proposed approach was compared to designs from single objective optimization with genetic algorithm. Multiple objective solution is the best one, the nearest to the ideal.
