The paper deals with the problem of evaluating system dependability using software implemented fault injectors (SWIFIs). In particular we describe methods of improving functionality and performance in SWIFI injectors. We discuss problems related to experiment scheduling and simulation result interpretation. The presented considerations base on our long experience with fault injection tools. They are illustrated with some practical examples.
