In this paper an integrated development environment for AAL (IDEAAL) is proposed. This environment consists of a common base infrastructure including a KNX- and Ethernet communication system, sensors, actors, and gateways. Furthermore, an integrated health and security application scenario using the IDEAAL-test bed is demonstrated. The scenario consists of a smart medicine cabinet, an unobtrusive bed balance, and a door entrance face recognition system.
