Inhalt:
The electric power system is continually in development. Many of the developments will lead to an increase in the stress on the power system. For example, the increasing need for electrical energy, the transition to a sustainable energy supply and the liberalization of the electricity market all put additional requirements on the power system. On the other hand, we would like to keep the power system as reliable as possible. It is therefore important to have knowledge about the effects of these developments on the reliability of the power system. With this knowledge, decisions can be made about which actions must be performed for keeping the reliability of the power system at a high level. This survey paper gives an overview of different current research topics in probabilistic reliability analysis. In addition, the expected future challenges for probabilistic reliability analysis are discussed.
