Inhalt:
Electric vehicles are expected to make key contributions to the UK's decarbonisation initiative, helping to meet the target of reducing carbon emissions by 80% by 2050. This paper investigates the possible impact of electric vehicle charging on the demand profile of the University of Bath under specific scenarios, and examines prospects for vehicle-to-grid power flows. Allowing electric vehicles to recharge on campus may help allay charge anxiety for drivers whilst also providing the university with commercial benefits. To gain the greatest benefit of these developments, there will be opportunities for smart management techniques for recharging.
