Inhalt:
The previous analysis of the optimal battery voltage level and the appropriate system topology for an electric vehicle with an output power of P = 25 kW results in a low voltage parallel cascaded system. The focus of this paper is on the integration of the inverter in the machine housing. New technologies in the topics high current transmission, thermal management, power connectors and passive components will be analyzed. Further topics are the minimization of the required printed circuit board (PCB) area and the system size. After the investigation of new technologies, the complete electrical, thermal and mechanical design of an integrated inverter will be presented.
