Inhalt:
This work seeks to demonstrate the feasibility of developing a complete high temperature, 50 kW bidirectional three-phase AC-DC power converter unit for 200 ºC settings. In the realization of this unit, high temperature SiC power modules were fabricated in order to achieve improved performance under extreme temperature conditions. This endeavor required the development of high temperature packaging of active devices, as well as a survey and characterization of high temperature passive and electronic control components. This paper will discuss the system integration of the power converter, and present the results of the double-pulse tests conducted in a 200 ºC ambient environment and the three-phase operation.
