This paper presents integrated generation system that consists of a synchronous generator and parallel connected power electronic converter. The integration means common management of power in which the synchronous generator is in principle source of active power and integrated converter is source of reactive power and/or optional source of additional active power. The integrated generating system is called synchrogenverter. The synchrogenverter may operate autonomously or in grid-connected mode. Extended simulations of an autonomous generated system with a 720 kVA synchronous generator present performance of the generation system and confirm its advantages.
