In this paper, in order to realize a higher reliability system, we propose to apply differential space frequency block coding (DSFBC) for realizing multiple-input-single-output (MISO) with orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) to a new wireless communication system, called “Adaptive Baseband Radio”, which integrates baseband radio, software-defined radio and cognitive radio. This wireless system is proposed as an ultimate communication system which transmits baseband signal directly from the antenna over wide radiofrequency band so as to cope with rapidly time-varying communication environment. DSFBC matches very well with the adaptive baseband radio having frequency-domain packet communication scheme. Moreover, by carrying out experiments in a multipath-rich environment, we will make clear the transmission performance as a function of subcarrier spacing Deltaf and delay spread sigmar.
