Wireless power transmission has been known for many years, with inductive coupling in the near field being the most commonly used technology. Among the publications, there are the typical technical papers describing the physical behavior of the system but there is also a definite trend attempting to impose specific features on standards (WPC, A4WP and PMA). By now, the industry has realized that the implementation of this technology is not easy and as a result the development of wireless power is hampered. The demand for more power, lose coupling, scalable systems and federal emission constraints are the main barriers to development. The “universal Wireless Power“ (“uniWP“) presented here represents a new solution to overcome the existing technology barriers.
