Inhalt:
DC/DC-converters using coupled inductors (CIs) are reliant on precise and high bandwidth means of measurement to control the magnetic fields DC-component in the inductors core. To find the optimum method for the measurement of current or magnetic field a selection of currently purchasable and self-designed sensors has been evaluated concerning their sensitivity, accuracy, costs and the required space on a PCB. Based on the results of this survey a recommendation will be given on which sensor to use in future projects on coupled inductors.
