This paper presents a new distributed precoder design for joint transmission in dense small cell networks. We exploit a numerical method called two-step Jacobi to distribute a centralized precoding scheme among local small cells using cooperation in between. Two variants of the novel distributed precoding algorithm have been specified with one focusing on the distributed update of local precoded signal vectors and another concentrating on the update of the local precoding matrices. The proof of convergence for the proposed algorithms is provided, and simulation results show a satisfying performance of the distributed precoding in a comparison with the benchmark of centralized precoding.
