The electrification of modern transport vehicles demands integration of high power depending on size and art of vehicle. For this, the automotive standard battery voltage of 400V has to be raised. The conventional automotive semiconductors for battery voltage of 400V are not capable to be used at higher battery voltages due to limited blocking voltage capabilities. In addition, for electric and hybrid electric vehicles, there can be different battery voltages available on board. An asymmetric multilevel inverter is presented in this paper with dynamic space- vector control (SVPWM) for such electric vehicular applications. Theoretical models are supported with Matlab/Simulink and Plecs simulations.
