The following paperwork considers a resonant inverter stage for implementation in a realized on modular principle multi-phase converter for fast charging of electric vehicles. The examined inverter is supplied from the grid via a controllable rectifier. Model based design approach is proposed on the base of a developed model of the converter in MATLAB. Analytical expressions for design of the inverter stage are obtained. Considerations for the design procedure are discussed. Simulations and experimental examinations are carried out for verification of the inverter design.
