The recent evolution of automotive industry leads to always greater efficiency of the embedded devices and also to additional demanding functionalities. One of this new function is the ability to improve the lighting of the vehicle with the idea to sculpt a LASER beam, converted to visible light, and adapt it to the driving conditions. A second one is linked to the autonomous vehicle with the development of environment detection features like, for example, the LIDAR sensor for environment detection. The aim of this paper is to propose a new moving coil frame electromagnetic actuator having a particular high dynamic thanks to its original shape and a dedicated electric supply control. This paper describes the developed strategy in order to reach this expectation along with the quite original dimensioning process of the actuator. It also gives concrete dimensions of embodiments along with prototype results discussion.
