Invalid patents contain rich technical and market information, mining invalid patents’value is an important path to study MRI technology. Based on the Orbit patent analysis system of QUESTEL in France, this paper analyzed MRI invalid patents including the domain of patent exposures, patent coverage technology, patentees, technical clustering, etc., and studied the causes of patent failure. At the same time, through the invalid patents analysis of Siemens, Philips, GE, we get technology innovation ability of three major MRI companies. This article can provide important MRI technology and business information for enterprises and related researchers, which is of great significance to the development of MRI technology.
