Inhalt:
The implementation of VSC-based embedded HVDC-systems provides a support of the existing AC system by means of active power transmission and reactive power provision. From a TSO-perspective, the embedded HVDC-systems enable a support of the existing AC transmission system regarding operational security. This coordination is realized by Optimal Power Flow calculations. This work elaborates a multi-objective concept for an optimal planning of active power con-verter set-points in terms of system security. Existing solvers for OPF problems comprise deterministic and metaheuristic approaches. In addition, several solvers of both classes are evaluated in a test-system, in order to assess their general suitability for the resulting optimization problem.
